Q3 Services has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability, winning the Carbon Reduction per Employee Award at the Planet Mark Awards 2025.
The award celebrates Q3’s impressive 79% reduction in carbon emissions per employee, demonstrating how sustainability, operational efficiency, and employee engagement can work together to deliver meaningful results. Unlike many industry awards, this recognition is entirely data-driven, based on audited information submitted through Planet Mark’s Business Certification process. Q3 achieved the greatest percentage reduction in carbon per employee for Scope 1 and Scope 2 (market-based), as independently verified and benchmarked against hundreds of other organisations certified by Planet Mark.
Held on Thursday 6th November at London’s Shaw Theatre, the Planet Mark Awards honour organisations from across the UK that are leading the way in carbon reduction and sustainable business practices. Q3’s accolade was presented under the ‘Measure’ category, which recognises organisations that lead with rigour and integrity, using data to drive demonstrable carbon reductions.
“At Q3, we view sustainability as not just a standalone initiative but built into how we operate every day.” said Martyn Freeman, CEO at Q3 Services. “More than just reducing CO₂ emissions, it’s about creating a business that operates responsibly across every area, from the way we work with our clients and suppliers to how we support our people and communities. We’re proud to be recognised by Planet Mark and will continue to push for a more sustainable built environment.”
This recognition reflects Q3’s ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental impact through a structured and measurable approach to sustainability. The company’s Net Zero Plan commits Q3 to achieving net zero emissions by 2035, underlining its long-term dedication to responsible growth. In 2024, Q3 also expanded its Planet Mark certification to include Scope 3 emissions, ensuring that its wider environmental footprint, including supply chain and indirect impacts, is actively measured and managed.
